General and I

Synopsis: There were 7 major kingdoms in the Period of Warring States in ancient China. Among them, the Jin Kingdom and the Yan Kingdom were constantly fighting. A little girl from the Yan Kingdom named Ting (Angelababy) lost her father and was adopted by Yan’s Prince and raised in the Prince’s Mansion as a servant. Years later the Prince was framed by his King and his whole family were all killed except for his son, He Xia. A brave and smart Ting saved the little Prince He Xia to run away from Yan King’s slaughter. On the road to escape, Ting met Jin’s General Chu (Wallace Cheung) and fell in love with him. Unfortunately the fact that they came from two countries in war was doomed to sabotage their romance. Ting could not face He Xia and her own country so she decided to run away and bury her true identity. Chu could not accept Ting left him, so he resigned from the army and moved to the countryside. For revenge and to win back the power of the Yan Kingdom, He Xia became a tyrant and the Yan Kingdom was in chaos and entered into an era unrest. The separated lovers, Chu and Ting had no choice but to work shoulder to shoulder on the battlefield to defeat the tyrant. The world returned to peace and harmony. The heroic actions of Chu and Ting left behind a romantic yet legendary story for the chaotic Period of Warring States.
