The Matchmakers

Synopsis: Sim Jung Woo, an intelligent and handsome young man, becomes the youngest to place first in the state examination. However, he gets picked by the princess to become her husband. On the day of their wedding, the princess suddenly dies, making Jung Woo the most unfortunate widower in Joseon. As the King’s son-in-law, he is banned from taking office or remarrying, so he spends his days writing appeals to annul the marriage. He meets Jung Soon Duk, a widow who secretly lives as a matchmaker. They join forces and work as matchmakers, marrying off spinsters and bachelors of Joseon while navigating their own challenges.
